Horse Training Facilities
Our horse training facilities are nestled in the beautiful valley of Water Valley Alberta, where the trees grow lush green and the Canadian Mountains backdrop your view. We are conveniently located 45 minutes North of Calgary Alberta just west of high way 22. With over 300 acres of riding space both tame and rugged and the little Red Deer River flowing through, there is ample room to ride, roam and explore.

Training Arena
Our horse training arena is
80x120 with a soft sand base and five and half foot high panels boarding the arena with three different entrance points.
Paddocks
All paddocks are constructed of high tensile wire with an electric wire as well to reduce the amount of dispute between paddocks. Each paddock varies in size but ranging from 30x50 - 50x50 and all have shared water between two paddocks.
Pasture
There are four different areas of pasture which are constructed of barbwire and a single high tensile electric wire. Each paddock has access to automatic water and shelter.
Barn
The barn has 11 tie stalls that can accommodate two horses with hay mangers in the front, which are used for tacking up your horse. One 12x12 over night stall and two 10x10 over night stalls, all of which with a sawdust/shavings base.
Client Tack/Barn
In the client barn there is room for each client to store their belongings, feed bins and have their own private locker to store any belongings they want locked up. Just outside the barn is a hitching rail, which can be used to tack up horses.
Trails
Trails run all over the property, varying in skill levels allowing different variety for each rider; some of the trails are marked while others are left to be explored. An open field at the base of the property allows for some open running, as the field is free of gopher holes.
Water
There are two stream crossings on the property as well as the Little Red Deer River crossing which depending on the time of year can be deep enough for a swim with your horse. There is access to a cold-water hose for washing and cold hosing your horse. |
